Ravello Music Festival
The Ravello Festival is one of the most renowned music festivals in Italy. This annual event led to Ravello becoming the City of Music. The venue is taking place in the famous Villa Rufolo, that was visited by the composer Richard Wagner. In the 1950, Paolo Caruso conceived the idea of the musical performances from the splendid terrace of Villa Rufolo. The stage built out over the sea. With the support of the Provincial Tourist Board, this idea became reality on the 70th anniversary of Wagner’s death.
